In less than three years GroupOn has 6,000 staffs and annual sales that will reportedly top $3 billion this year.
Now GroupOn has launched GroupOn NOW, a mobile app that connects customers with real-time coupons for retailers in their vicinity. Click the app's "I'm hungry" button, and you might be offered a discount on a food in local a few blocks away. But you'll have to move fast: The deals are time-sensitive and good for just a few hours.
This year the company acquired Whrrl, a location-based recommendations app.
App is launched in its first city -- Chicago, Groupon's hometown.
